STEM-ON-TRACK have named Leon as their March 2026 “Classroom Hero”, and this is what they have written to go alongside his award….
“Leon is a natural leader with a meticulous eye for detail and is the kind of teammate every school hopes for. Stepping up as Team Manager and Lead Driver for The Aspire Academy he has shown incredible commitment by guiding his team through the build and preparation process with professional focus. 
Since taking the lead in February, Leon has worked closely with Matt from “MJ Logan Motor Services”. By linking his Level 1 Motor Vehicle studies to the go-kart build, Leon has turned classroom theory into real-world engineering success.
His ability to apply technical mechanics to the track has been vital in getting the Team race-ready. Leon is now focused on the upcoming finals, where he aims to lead his team to a new personal best, surpassing last year’s performance. His journey perfectly captures the spirit of the programme: building leadership, mastering hands-on skills, and bringing vocational learning to life.
