A Priority We Cherish
Our commitment extends beyond pupils, reaching our valued staff. As a school, we have signed up to the DfE Staff Wellbeing Charter and pledged a commitment to prioritise staff mental health.
We offer staff professional supervision every term to support staff to manage both the personal and professional demands of such demanding work and to develop their knowledge, competence and confidence in everyday practice. We also have a ‘buddy’ system which enables staff to support each other with their own mental health and well-being.
Staff mental health surveys are completed twice a year to identify the challenges that staff may face in their roles and to establish support systems.
Notice boards in staff areas signpost staff to important information regarding the importance of their own mental health and all staff have access to a package of support through Westfield Health.
