Here’s our HUB: our Inclusion/SEND/Intervention Room, which we opened earlier on this year.
The staff team and our pupils worked very hard to make the opening happen!
HUB stands for ‘Help Us Belong’ and is a room available to our pupils at Aspire.
The HUB is split into 3 areas.
- There’s a sensory area that helps our pupils with self-regulation and allows them to take a break when feeling overwhelmed/ overstimulated.
- There’s an intervention section where all one-to-one, small group and Twilight/Bespoke learning takes place.
- The third section is our chill out section where the pupils can play various games or simply take a break.
All interventions in the HUB are timetabled, focusing on supporting the progress and attainment of pupils and identifying/ knocking down barriers to learning.
