The Future Skills Questionnaire, often referred to as FSQ, has been designed to capture pupil voice and gives pupils an opportunity to reflect on their career-related knowledge and skills.
Our pupils are completing the SEND FSQ, completing it during a one-to-one session with a member of staff as part of a careers conversation.
Pupil perception is analysed and reviewed to help us evaluate and develop our careers programme, ensuring that our pupils are effectively supported to make well-informed decisions about their next steps.
October 2025 – so far, 15/29 of our in-school Yr11 pupils have completed the questionnaire, and below is an example of the data provided, relating to question 8, and the pupils next steps after school….
This information really helps to inform us of the post16 providers we need to engage with in school to then support our pupils with their identified destinations – via school assemblies, workshop groups, placement visits and then ultimately, application support.
