What does the qualification cover?
The OCN London L1 Certificate in Progression, Music Pathway provides a flexible and alternative range of learning opportunities. The qualifications seek to enable pupils to follow a programme tailored to their learning needs, whilst at the same time achieving a nationally recognised qualification.
This qualification is aimed at 14-16 year olds with an interest in music production and recording and is designed to sit alongside GCSEs in the Key Stage 4 curriculum.
How many units are required to complete it?
- The OCN London L1 Certificate in Progression, Music Pathway is taught over 141 guided learning hours and pupils are required to successfully complete 21x credits. Some examples of the types of units are listed below:
- Composing Music
- DJ Skills
- Song Writing Skills in Popular Music
- Rehearsing for a Production
