Catering Supervisor to start asap.

Salary:  NJC Spine 14-17: £16,781 – £17,772 pro rata  Actual Salary: £12,559 – £13,301

Hours:  32.50 hours per week – Monday-Friday 08:00-15:00 hours; Term Time Only (INSET days by arrangement); Permanent

Closing date:  12.00 noon on  Friday 22nd September 2017

Interviews:  3rd October 2017

The main duties of the role are to: accept delivery of school lunches, as provided by the Catering Contractor (and other supplies), to serve meals to pupils and staff and to clear, clean and tidy in accordance with the Job Description.

School governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children’s education. Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the governing board is absolutely key to the effectiveness of a school.The Role of Governors

Governors support the school through support and challenge and also help set the vision and strategic direction of the school; hold the Head Teacher to account over the School’s performance and monitor the Teaching and Learning within the school.

What makes a good school Governor?

  • You care about improving children’s educational attainment.
  • You want to contribute to the local community.
  • You can work corporately and value the contributions of other people who may hold alternative views to your own.  You also understand the concept of corporate decision making.
  • You accept you might need training.
  • You are willing to ask questions.
  • You are open to ideas and willing to learn.


Anyone who has a child on the roll of the school at the time of the election is eligible to stand (and you do not have to resign if your child leaves during your term of office).

Nomination Process

If you do wish to put yourself forward then you need to complete a nomination form, which is available on the school website, or which can be collected from the school office (We can help you complete it in school if needed). You can nominate yourself but you will need to get someone else to add their name to your nomination and they cannot be a close relative or partner.

Nomination forms must be returned to the school by Noon on Monday 3rd July 2017.
